The Difference Between English and American English
The letters t and d in american english, ar tend to be pronounced with a ade sound. In british speech, we'd say, car turn offer. Often words that end in e r don't really pronounce the r at the end of the word. So instead of water, you get water, give me a glass of water. Some people think that's bad pronunciation - it sounds rude.
