As far as being hostages it sounds like it was on the better side of the spectrum. I mean being hostage in any situation is horrifying and traumatizing but they weren't actively you know being whipped and beaten you know etc. So it wasn't like we need to rush in there they are going to die any minute their bodies are going to give out its not one of those situations. Yet so much of America was calling for us to bomb the shit out of Iran which would have ensured the death of the hostages.
