The Face of God in Microchips
Nearly all of the high-end microchips in the world are manufactured in a factory in Taiwan. The chip factory's so key to Taiwan's survival that very few people outside of the company get to go inside. Virginia Heffernan is one of the few reporters who got to visit and she wrote about it for Wired. "To be inside the fabs is to be up against the face of God," an expert says.
