Maggie: It's very clear haunted houses are actually safe, but they feel like they're unsafe. But there are also many experiences that actually are unsafe that feel very safe. Our brains have not evolved to be fearful of driving down the highway at 70 miles an hour in a box. I was totally fixated on what ghost or goblin was going to come around the next corner. You know, my theory is that it actually has something to do with evolution.
