The Anabaptist Tradition
The Anabaptist tradition grew out of the Protestant Reformation. It's a little asterisk often in church history classes that gets blown past called the Radical Reformation. They refused to baptize their children like infant baptism because that was a way of identifying with the state. So this got them into hot water for resisting to participate in this like, you know, theocracy and they started to be persecuted as people.
