How to Improve Information Ratios

We looked at about 10 different individual indicators that different people had said over the years worked. And then we created a composite of those four, which again is a way of sort of improving information ratio. We really like to stick to things which are economically defensible. There's got to be an economic logic to them. The reason I want to work on a gold model right now is I think we could be entering into a recession with a weak dollar and falling real interest rates. So if you like, there's a kind of a hunch, a discretionary view that gold could start to get really interesting.
