The Uniqueness of Outsourcing Repression in China
China is a country since Maoist time that mobilizes society, what I would call outsourcing repression. The state enjoys a great deal of legitimacy and there's a lot of social capital on the ground. In today's China, those aunties and uncles, hominists still have an instance over them. They are entrusted with this important task of exploiting the community to need the state's objective aid.
