How the Config Language Was Hard to Reason About?
One of the things that motivated you to try and do something new was this kind of near miss situation of things almost going horribly astray. Another came from the fact that it required this kind of specialized knowledge. You really needed just to know that particular weird semantics and dark corners of this particular language. The idea that we needed to build a team or have a team to specifically understand and be comfortable working with this just didn't feel like a good use of our people resources.
