John Henry Newman's theory of conversion says you're persuaded by interactions with a friend but also, you know, you see a church doing something and that's persuasive. But none of those things you can never sort of parse out in a sort of syllogistic way how you got there. It's like a damn bursting. No one can tell you when the day would burst they would just prevent it from happening. Everything builds up and then it then explodes. And that's that's kind of how conversion works."
