Introduction

LaFove: Scaffolding is just my goofy term. McKenna: I thought of this term when I was talking to a friend who, you know, she was kind of looking forward and in the next five years or so she was going to retire. LaFove: The day you retire, you're an actor, like you're moving into something else.McKenna: So it was just a concept that I think applies to both the business side of this job and scaffolding to your goals as well as really applying to the actual work of writing.
