Most LDL asthma is metabolized down from VLDL that was secreted from the liver. When lipor proteins leave the liver, they are packaged with antioxidants. If there's a little bit of contact with reactive oxygen species, it doesn't really matter because all that happens is you lose alittle bit of the antioxidants in the LDL particle. The first thing to oxidize will be the polyunsaturated fatty acids in the membrane of the LDL particles. And so if you look at quantitatively what is present in oxidized LDL that does the most to stimulate the process of atherosclerosis,. It's actually the products of PUFA oxidation, polyuns saturated fatty acid oxidation in the LDL membrane
