The Importance of Atoms in Art
Julian Zelizer: I'm interested in what Julia might say about, in a sense, we've talked about using atoms as your medium. How do you reconcile yourself to that? He says the driving force behind was just this idea of seeing that DNA is a one-dimensional thing. Zelizer: If I take this piece of wood or steel beam and apply the compound mitre cuts and reassemble it without using any material, it's a very elegant way of going from one dimensional to 3D.
