The Problem With Performance Advertising

There's in the zeitgeist right now that if the people selling advertising are not making money, that means there should be plenty of really affordable advertising to do everywhere. But yet what I'm hearing for people that are trying to market themselves is like stuff doesn't really work. You have to get good at it and increasingly what performance marketing demands is not clever media buying because their algorithms do that. The end of the day marketers, advertisers, they vote with their dollars and they don't seem to care about the black boxes or ads showing up on the video.
