i grew up without any religion a my mother was raised by religious fundamentalists, essentially the people that put the little bibles in hotellike hotel drawers. My father was from a small village in syria, and he didn't really have a religious life that could be properly approximated in the us. The area i grew up in in pennsylvania was deeply religious, mostly protestantism in one form or another in my school. But also, there was a catholic school near by.
