The Percentage of Construction Workers Misclassified
10 to 30% of employers misclassify their workers. That stat is just about misclassifying as contractors. The less power a person has the more likely they are to be misclassified. Because of things like structural racism, structural sexism, we have women, people of color for concentrated and lower wage industries that are much more likely to being misclassified. Those are occupations where misclassification is just really common.
