The Dangers of Institutional Abuse
I think that institutions seek to maximize control and there seems to be a certain segment of the population that has, that is predatory. I've heard so many instances in Mormonism when a high level leader is guilty of abuse, he gets promoted to a higher status within the organization. It's just, it's so crazy to see that in other cultures. And it's almost in a sad way reassuring to see that other cultures doubled down in such a disgusting way because at least it's not just us.
