Is Live Nation a Monopoly?

There are a lot of concerns about live nation and ticket master being part of the same company, especially just because live nations market share is bordering on monopolistic. And certainly having that much control means that most artists and managers are loath to to go against them. The other issue that i think youre really seeing is like this, this bification of the market with or ticket prices where it's still possible to get a reasonably priced ticket, it just won't be a good ticket. All the good tickets are now being sold to the wealthiest people who can buy them.
