The Importance of Knowing Things in Advance

Knowing what the holocaust is in advance of a lecture on world war two. It removes some of the burden of trying to figure out who is this person? Why are they important? You already kind of know and that's also a really important teaching moment. A student is not likely to forget a character from a story that they are intrinsically aware of for example I don't really need to write down who Hitler was Right. But being critical and making those decisions is important Yeah, you got to write more information down because you don't need just the gist you need details.
