How to Find a Distributor for Your Film
For independent features, you don't go to AFM. The way to do it is for independent features is to go the festival route. Our distributors even want us to do that, even when we're already picked up by a distributor. It kind of validates a movie. If you get into one of the top four or five, Sundance, South by Southwest Toronto, whatever, Berlin,. You've got the seal of approval and you will get distribution. And so that in itself is a vetting process for distributors.
