Is Butterback the Best Standard for Automated Backups?

Brantia: Butterback seems like it's got a lot of this stuff sort of figured out. I'm not that well-versed in ZFS yet, but I will get there. A lot of tutorials for ButterFS send and receive have been just to a local mounted drive. And so not very much stuff over the network, which seemed kind of strange to me. It seems pretty cool to use your file system to accomplish a lot of the things that these backup systems have been doing.
