How to Improve Self-Control Over a Lifetime
Bob Greene: Self-control can be improved over the course of a lifetime. He says self-control is like a muscle, so any exercise you do makes it stronger and helps with other things even unrelated to what you're exercising. In an experiment in Sydney, Australia, people got better at saving money by cutting out junk food but also ate more healthily as part of their plan. "I've been enjoying seeing this success," he says about how experts are inspiring.
