I kind of think of it more like jury nullification, right? There's a tradition in America that sometimes somebody is guilty, but the extenuating circumstances or the unfairness of the law in general. But I think it's perfectly colorable that if if if Jack Smith can make a colorable argument on some of these charges ... The defense makes a case that you know, this is what isn't what the statute was intended for and blah, blah, blah... A jury just says, look, but this was so terrible. This was such an act of violence"
