How Important Are Numbers?

Can you think of any other time in 13 years where statistics and numbers have been a bigger deal then what's happening at the moment with cove? For a while ther it semd all anyone in the world were talking about where or numbers and grafts and curves. All of a sudden it was like your moment had arrived. It's been very exciting, oviously tragic but statistics have felt incredibly important.
