If you're working in a framework where the department has a vote, absolutely advocating for candidates or talking candidates up among voting colleagues is really important. I love this conversation because it kind of highlights the responsibility we have as folks who want to change things up. It's much harder if you're an untenured person on a committee. But if you're tenured, the truth is, you have nothing to lose. Some of these people may make your life a little difficult for a while, but you know, in the grand scheme of things, there's not much to lose. And it's important to remember that.
