Single Cell RNA Sequencing Technologies - What Makes Them Powerful?
In a nutshell, single cell sequencing provides the expression profile of the genes in your sample on a per cell level. It measures how much RNA is produced by each gene and then gives you information of not only whether the gene is expressed, but how much it was expressed. Because we're able to do this for every cell, we can identify distinct cellular populations that would otherwise be lost. And those differences might then point us in the direction of what could be driving the disease.
