The Importance of Persuasion in Philosophy
There is a difference between being right and being persuasive totally you could be fed the two are completely independent as far as I can tell. That goes not just in philosophy but also in science for them for that matter. Scientists have this immediate rejection of anything that smells like rhetoric or making an argument.
