What Is Dharmayyud and Jihad?

Brahmins were never big landholders. They were mostly peasants and also they were part of the Patidari, you know, 10 years old. Muslims issued a fatwa of jihad that it was incumbent upon all Muslims to fight the British. Hindu issued their own Fatwa of Dharmayyud which is based on Gita. Even among Muslims, the Muslim landlords created by the British, they sided with the British. The Thakur's in Uttar Pradesh who were small land lords or who were in their own like Patidari system fought against the British.
