The Church Order of the Dutch Reformed Churches
In the seventeenth century dutch reformed churches produced a church order. It was followed in the english speaking world more or less unchanged until 19 66. After 16 19, the canons of dort came to sendin with the idea that they could argue with the orthodox any time they wanted. The question was whether the church had a right to judge doctrinal views that deviate from the confessional standards of orthodoxy. And if you want to see the church order produced by the dutch churches at the senate of dort, we will link to it in the show notes for this episode, there is in english translation.
