Is Heidegger Right?

Heidegger has a line in one of his writings that the modern age is in darkness or on concealment. I feel like you are someone who's written about those things especially pain and so maybe my this is a multi-part question but is Heidegger right why are people not thinking about pain death and love? What does it mean to think about those philosophically rather than just in an everyday way? "I don't let's how much people are thinking about them these days or not"
