The Importance of Faith in Exodus 1 and 2

Exodus 1 and 2 doesn't really mention God. In a sense it's absent from this part of the story. But we can hear hints of previous passages that keen readers at the time would have understood. The fact that under this difficult circumstances the people of God are still multiplying, still increasing, still becoming numerous is because of the pillar of the life of faithfulness that Joseph led.
