Are Women Less Likely to Ask?
Race and gender are very rarely addressed in negotiation books. And i think a lot of times it's because the people who are writing the book can't speak to that from their experience. In my books, if one of the rules in my book is, don't make her ask twice. Three out of ten women will ask for an increase when negotiating a salary. Verses slightly over half of all men. So women are less inclined to ask.
