There's a less specifically technical dimension to the promulgation of data in information that i believe institutes a new form of biopolitics. Things like bureaucratic apparatuses of validation processes of certification of individuals bodies people and job roles mirror this kind of brute advance of technology information we're seeing in empire. There are certain ways that things can be rendered within what i call an order of legibility meaning that there are characteristics or attributes of subjects that become more or less visible or legible in the economy therefore they become more valuable. These attributes and characteristics invariably situate themselves in an order of information, he says.
