Oppenheimer's Role in the Dropping of the Bomb in Japan

I don't think even the people who were doing the testing expected the bomb to be thrown on Japan so fast. Oppenheimer did not become a man on a white horse who cried and moaned about his guilt over Hiroshima. He spent the better part of his remaining creative and public life, trying to somehow limit the spread of nuclear weapons. The Atomic Energy Commission found that Oppenheimer was a security risk; he never again worked in energy.
