Is AI a Good Tool for Artists?
Mark Chen, the lead researcher on doll E2, a model from OpenAI, says that a bunch of people who wouldn't necessarily classify themselves as artists can now use image generation easily. But it's not hard to understand why an artist would be concerned after hearing something like that. Andres Guadamis used AI to mimic Simon Stalenhog's style then posted those images to Twitter in order to highlight the legal and ethical questions surrounding AI-generated art.
