The viral tweet has been shared by academics, activists and even a Labour MP. The numbers were taken from the wholesale prices in one particular hour on December 12th. EPEX SPOT told me that this is indeed their data, but it's not what we pay as consumers. It's what big energy suppliers paid for electricity.
