Paul Wolfowitz was a key figure in the Bush administration's neoconservatism. He saw Saddam Hussein as someone who could be checked against Iran, but Israelis didn't agree with him. Donald Brumsfeld and Dick Cheney were more interested in projecting force than democratization.
