The Inevitability of the Higgs Boson

I am frustrated with my colleagues because they're allowing their philosophical prejudices to overrule their knowledge of physics. The only reason to set aside a fundamental law of physics which has been tested many times is if you're compelled by experiment to do so. There is no experimental evidence to date that there's anything beyond the standard model. I'm convinced that it's, but once again I could be wrong.
