The Status Orientation of the APC
There is a kind of slightly more status orientation that the APC claims. And I think this was one of the reasons why some analysts hoped that, you know, Buhari would provide some sort of alternative to neoliberalism. So they will sometimes attempt to portray themselves as a kind of center-left alternative. But I mean, I think these things are a little overstated in the rhetoric when you kind of look more critically at what happens in practice when they get in office.
