The Importance of Putting in the Work

There's an iron glass quote that I like a lot and I know you do as well. For the first couple of years you make stuff, it's not that good. Your taste is why your work disappoints you. A lot of people never get past this phase. They quit. Most people I know who do interesting creative work went through years of this. We all go through this. If you are just starting out or you are in this phase, you got to know it's normal and the most important thing you can do is put in the work. Going through that period, it's sort of a profound quote and I think it can be applied to a lot of different things.
