The Role of Sinus Rhythm in Pulmonary Hypertension

Atrial tachyarrhythmias are not uncommon in the context of pulmonary hypertension. They have a significant negative impact on cardiac function and they're usually not well hemodynamically tolerated, so it's something again that we have to be aware of. The other thing I wanted to say is that if your heart rates over 100 and you're at rest, it's not normal even if it feels normal. And these patients often have just slow atrial flutter because the atrium is so big it's just slower circuits. But now patients are living so much longer that this is developing.
