How Does Signal Work With a Federated Model?

The federation just makes it really hard to rev implementation changes, because you have to get everybody to upgrade across a disparate set of clients. So yeah, I don't know. It's another pitch for hiring those cryptographers who can just run your protocol that it doesn't need that many updates from a security perspective at least. But if you're starting on like an already vetted protocol, like do you, can just see like the logic of like we started with the good stuff. Someone else already did it. That's how this went wrong. Exactly.
