The Importance of Laws in Our Society

I could probably list 15 laws that most of us on any given day pay almost no attention to and I'm not saying that's right but I'm just being honest. Maybe one or two actually jaywalking and speeding are probably ones that people on an everyday basis almost everywhere in the United States are like yeah not today I need to get to work so those two things are legal murder and speeding but people still do them is there a law that we could write that would really prevent people?
