The Ear in a Fabric, Erica Manzack

Evelina wang spoke to m i t o fink to learn about fabrics that he'sa contunein to sounds. In a way, fabrics contain the sound track of our lives. Until now, until this work, that sound track was not accessible to us. What we set out to do is see if we could create an ear in a fabric. How did you design a fabric that could pick up on the sound track? We wanted a fibre that not only moved with the waves, but also reported on them. And so theyre two important materials.
