What Are Some of the Barriers to Black Female Physicians?

Back in 1900, there were about 160 black female physicians. In 1920, 10 years after the Flex Report, the number of black women physicians had dropped to 65. The Flex Report decided that these black institutions were illegitimate and thus so many of them were closed. Back in 1910, there were now 2.5% of black physicians generally within the medical community. And then in 2006, there was 2.2% black physicians. So almost 100 years later, and the number is the same or slightly lower.
