The Effects of Electrical Brain Stimulation on the Presence of Touch
You have the conscious experience of feeling a touch pretty much right around the time when the touch occurs there's a very little delay in that conscious experience. Benjamin Libby conducted these experiments and I think he was stimulating a region in thalamus which projects directly into the somatosensory cortex. The stimulation stops and so it doesn't deliver enough stimulation and the people don't feel anything. There is backward time referral where that you reach enough neuronal adequacy enough neural activity happens and then that information is then somehow informing that initial evoked potential. All of this sounds like precognition, extra sensory perception right it sounds a little a little wacky so like what is happening?
