CNN.com has 165k, which is uncompressed 10x up to one or not 10x, probably about 8x 1.19 megs. This is like the equivalent of Gzip. It's something that you enable on your server and then the browser will be able to uncompress it. CloudFlare itself will most servers will turn this on for you.
In this episode of Syntax, Wes and Scott talk through all the reasons your website might be slow, and how you can troubleshoot a slow website such as issues on the server, large assets, caching, CSS, JavaScript, latency, and more.
