The Crucifixion of Peter

Peter came to that realization between AD 29 and AD 33. He definitely recognized that Jesus was the Messiah during pre-crucifixion. The question would be, what did he mean by the Son of God? Did he have a human understanding of that phrase or an angelic understanding at the time? And that's a little more debatable.
