Traditional chinese medicine is really a whole bunch of medical traditions, some dating back thousands of years. There were no formal education as we would recognize it, no credentialing, no licensing. Most people learned in the home or by apprenticeship and what they learned was very specialized. So i thinkit was sort of a mixed fag but yet, as far as regulation went, no, it was. It was the wild. I mean there was a lot of knowledge shared with each other - both good and bad.
