The Cultural Misconceptions and Stigma Surrounding ADHD Within the African American Community
Our learning objectives for today is to identify cultural misconceptions and stigma surrounding ADHD within African American community. We would like to demonstrate an understanding of culturally competent strategies utilizing psychoeducation to desensitize myths of ADHD. The Tuskegee syphilis experiment created such a worldwide view and awareness of racism and injustice towards African Americans. And so we're going to go over just two of those due to time.
