The Metaphysical Depth of Russia
In russia, you have only this metaphysical depth, you know, all this tragedy. And it it, paradoxically, attracts attention and even admiration. This is because it comes from from, not civilization, so from, because it's too far from european culture. It explains this attraction to it. But the problem is, is that it is anyway too much west centred. Even if it goes beyond looking for the otherness, it is probably critical towards it on culture, but it's not critical towards this culture to which it approaches. That's what we ukranians are reproaching to, this western admiration of the russian soul.
